Welcome to Solution Exchange for the Extractive Industries Community  in Cambodia

The Cambodia Knowledge Sharing for Extractive Industries links professionals with timely international knowledge and experience. The focus areas are the social, environmental and economic benefits and costs of extractive industries (minerals, oil and gas). By bringing international experience to Cambodia in an innovative new way, the responsible development of Cambodia’s non-renewable resources for all Cambodians will be enhanced.

How it works:

Each person in the Extractive Industries (EI) Community is subscribed to a mail group that is moderated by the Community Facilitator and Young Professional Officer (the Facilitation Team). When a member of the EI Community comes across a challenging issue, or would like to learn more about regional or international practices on extractive industries, he/she can post a question to the EI Facilitation Team. The Team then sends the question to the community network.

Other members of the community will then respond to the question with advice, experiences, data or knowledge within a fixed period. After 3 weeks, responses will be synthesized into a Consolidated Reply (CR) by the Facilitation Team. The CR also includes additional resources and recommended materials such as websites and further readings, etc.
