How it works:

Solution Exchange builds on and seeks to strengthen existing Communities of Practice by providing a knowledge sharing platform in the form of a mediated email discussion group. To participate, a practitioner becomes a member of this online Community and can then email queries and volunteer solutions to other people’s queries.

This allows members of the Community of Practice to work together to find solutions to problems of common interest, through a sharing of experience, expertise, and knowledge and improving access to people and information. Regional and international experts and resource centres are also linked into the discussion to build connections with the broader perspective.

Email discussions will typically run for one to three weeks and will be fostered and supported by additional research and facilitation provided by the Solution Exchange team – consisting of a Cambodia-based Climate Change expert and a researcher. The email discussions will also be moderated to ensure clarity and relevance and responses will be synthesized into a consolidated reply in English and Khmer language on each discussion topic.

A multi-stakeholder resource group will provide guidance. Community policy will advise and support Community of Practice development – ensuring Solution Exchange is effective for all.
